Welcome Back! We hope you've all had a really cool (or hot??) Summer and are raring to go again... We certainly are...! We meet this Fri, Sept 18th in our usual venue at the cricket centre at St Margies... THE BIG CHANGE to note however, is that we now meet at 7pm and finish at 8.30. Please ask whoever drops you off or collects you, to try to stick accurately to these time please, cheers! Really looking fwd to seeing you all gain. Remember you can bring a mate with you. BRING IT ON!!! BLITS is the brand new shiny youth group for all those in yrs 8 & 9 and yes, it’s for boys and girls! We are like a younger version of ROOTED, but of course we are totally cool and trendy!
When?.....every Friday during term time starting this week Fri 11th Sept 2009 Where?... um...er...watch this space, we are still negotiating a venue...! What happens?... well, we'll have lots of very silly games (often involving chocolate!) and usually we'll have a really interesting discussion or quiz or a short talk about what it really means to be a Christian today and about how God is alive and still doing really cool stuff… About twice a term we'll go out somewhere ie; bowling , or in Summer we have a huge treasure hunt (it’s the hunt that’s huge, not the treasure; sorry!) in Sefton Park. In July we'll meet with our sister group on the Wirral for a totally mad water-war ( this is not just any regular water fight, this is war!! You wont get wet….................you’ll get drenched…) Look out for Daniel is his flowery shower-cap!!
The big highlight of our year was in August when, together with Rooted, we went to Newday, an amazing christian camp where loads of stuff happens including seeing some of the UKs top christian bands live on stage (prepare to rock!) and a chance to see how totally awesome and amazing God is and meet with him!Everybody who went this Summer just cant wait til the next one….details to follow….in the meantime checkout www.newday.xtn.org
