Welcome Back! We hope you've all had a really cool (or hot??) Summer and are raring to go again... We certainly are...! FRIDAY 18TH SEPT Rooted will NOT be happening Im afraid (AAHHH!!) but Blits is on still then next week we meet in our usual venue at the cricket centre at St Margies... THE BIG CHANGE to note however, is that we now meet at 8.30pm and finish at 10pm. Please ask whoever drops you off or collects you, to try to stick accurately to these time please,cheers! Really looking fwd to seeing you all again. Remember you can bring a mate with you. BRING IT ON!!! What is Rooted?
Rooted is a dynamic, exciting group for those in school yrs 10-11, building roots in the Bible, Evangelism and Discipleship. In BED!
When?.....every Friday during term time starting this week Fri 11th Sept 2009
Where?... um...er...watch this space, we are still negotiating a venue...!
What happens?... well, we'll have lots of very silly games (often involving chocolate!) and usually we'll have a really interesting discussion or quiz or a short talk about what it really means to be a Christian today and about how God is alive and still doing really cool stuff
We play really daft games, eat chocolate!, discuss an aspect of God, his Word and how to live for him. Be radical! That's usually followed by a mad game of something like MAFIA (if you are confused, you’ll have to get Rooted to find out more!)
Rooted is for everyone, whether you already have a relationship with God or don’t have a clue what that means. Rooted also enjoy regular social events such as bowling, cinema, the annual water-war , BBQs, DVD and pizza evenings etc so feel free to turn up, get to know us and see what you think. This summer we had an amazing time at NEWDAY 2009 so put next summer's dates in your diary NOW and try to come camping with us next summer to NEWDAY 2010 6th-12th August. If you wanna know what its like, speak to anybody who went this year - they all cant wait to get back there again!
